DVD Duplication is a term used to describe short-run or small quantity copying of DVDs. To make the DVD we only use a high quality “Grade A” DVDR and burn your data onto to the disc. DVD duplication is certainly a very cost effective way of producing low quantities of discs without incurring mastering charges for DVD Replication (*). DVD duplication is generally made for quantities from 100-1,000 **. Any quantity in this range will fall under the short-run DVD Duplication classification. The formats available for Duplication are: ** If you require more than 1,000 or up to 10,000 units very quickly then DVD Duplication is the ideal solution to manufacture high quality DVDs in 48 hours with print and data. Packaging options are also available within this time period. Disc Makers offers the complete range of packaging options including Jewel Cases with paper print, full colour Card Wallets, DVD cases, Digi-packs, Plastic Wallets. DVD duplication offers identical sound and visual quality to a replicated DVD, and gives you the ability to have discs made within a very short time frame. All DVD Duplication discs are litho printed full colour (CMYK) or screen-printed (up to 5 spot colours) with your DVD design. If you wish to burn your data on the discs later, we can supply the printed discs blank. You can supply the DVD on body artwork or our graphics and design department will work with you to create your design (including your corporate logo, and contact details). (*) REPLICATED DVD DISCS DVD-5 replication is the process by which DVDs are replicated in mass quantities (over 1,000 units) using a master version created from a source recording. The procedure is very similar the process used to make a Compact Disc. The master is usually supplied as a DVDR or from a pre-recorded DVD. For a DVD-9 – a DVD double layer disc will be required as the master. The formats available: DVD-5 holds 4.7GB and can be Litho or Screen Printed. DVD-9 holds 8.5GB and can be Litho or Screen Printed DVD-10 holds 8.75GB (also known as Double-Sided Single Layer) Litho or Screen Printed DVD-18 holds 15.9GB (also known as Double-Sided Double Layer (or Double-Sided Dual Layer). For quantities over 1,000 then replication will certainly be the best option, and will offer major savings in the overall cost of your project. The lead-time for DVD replication is 8-10 working days.
